why do most flashlight reviews have 1000 pics

but no runtime on every level? i hate scrolling thru so many pics lol. but im a odd duck i dont care about looks just details many many details

Lights are very much a visual thing & most users think very little about run times. It's why we have lots of X000L lights that only hold it for 1 minute or less & almost no one notices. As a guy who started out looking for run times I learned quickly how to avoid the trap of pretty pictures

Actually measuring runtime is very time consuming. When you account for low modes, it could take days.

Most reviewers don't have the time or inclination to do that.

I feel like this isn't quite fair, taking pictures can take 10 minutes, especially if you've got a pattern to follow, while doing runtimes takes a lot of time and also depends on the reviewer's copy. There's a reason in many cases where you do have runtime tests that the people doing it run different cells and have a standard for how they do it.
