pts2 series or parallel luxeon

To power three luxeon III's in series do I triple the source voltage? And in parallel triple the amps?

I want to build a direct drive triple lux III. Could i power it with 8aa to 2D battery source?

Yeah... your first paragraph is correct. For example, to wire them with 3 D cells, they will be wired in parallel. I haven't done one with a 8xAA carrier, but personally, I'd probably just use a regulator. Direct driven, each star would see 3.2V... I guess if you stuck with stars with an Vf of H, you'd be close to full brightness but again, I don't have any first hand experience with using the carriers with multiple Luxeons.
