I've been thinking about getting a pair of goggles or glasses. Is there any available that offers protection but still let you see whats going on?

Well, if you are wearing protecting goggles/glasses with a redish tint, then you will be able to see eveything that is going on aside from the laser's beam and spot sometimes (depending on strength of the laser) With the safety glasses from wicked, I can see the spot on all my lasers and everything else going on, but no chance of seeing the beam. If you were considering the glasses on ebay with a deep purple tint, they will work at blocking out laser light, but they block out pretty much everything else as well, so you won't be able to see much.

I'd go with the sport goggles as the lab goggles tend to be very cheap, plasticy and fragile...I've heard a few stories of broken lab goggles..

I just thought I'd point out that I see little difference between the WickedLaser goggles and these. Except of course that the WickedLaser ones cost $40 more...

And let's not forget the $14 tool kings....

I don't know about you guys but I'd go with the $14 ones...

The toolkings are cheap but the visibility is poor. They block too much. All of the beam + much of the dot too...PB

Interesting I went to the link of biglasers.com and it appears that not only do they offer the same exact sport goggles that wickedlasers sales and for a cheaper price aswell. I called biglasers for inquiries regarding their sport goggles and they are CE certified, which means that they have undergone the necesary testing requirements. Thus, I placed an order for a couple of goggles and got they in two days at my front step...

Here is the link to the safety eyewear section on their website:

I dont know and I couldnt say if they do sell them the laser goggles, but if you do a little bit of reading on the websites. Biglasers is based in Panama, so why would they buy a product that has no FDA restrictions all the way from China when they could easily get it in the US???
I think that the main manufacturer has offices world wide...

Can you please just stop. We all know that you are from biglasers. I acctually considered biglasers as a decent site when i discovered it a few days ago but now you have totally changed my mind. You are just like thinklasers. Stop denying that you work for biglasers. You have brought biglasers into every single thread even when it isn't remotely relevant. I bet if I made a topic about hippos yo find a way to bring your site in. You obviously know biglasers inside and out.

Entity again, I recommend good services out of personal good will regardless of which company it is. That is no crime, and if I seemed promoting excesively a specific company in this case being biglasers.com then I would reconsider about emphasizing on them and their competitors laserglow and optotronics in a less propaganda manner. Yet i hope this discussion doesnt discourage people from recommending good services and expressing their opinions due to aggressive replies.

Aggressive replies - you are taking the proverbial. You have named dropped at every oppurtunity - in every thread except your most recent after being asked to stop name dropping one damn company. This is not the case of someone helping other out in 1 or 2 threads with a link or name, this is blatant promotion. You came, you named dropped, you annoyed others by including one campany in every damn post. Many people now have turned against that company thinking you work for them or own it.

Please keep in mind certain lasers they offer are manufactured by CNI, this would be the only place to get those lasers...and they are indeed in China.

That being said, you can't really say those lasers are better then those at Wicked or Laserglow etc, as you tried to do in other posts I beleive. The lasers are the same, if anything Wicked and Laserglow probably have their CNI models custom made to their specs above and beyond the norm.

I have nothing against Biglasers, but you can't epect to post about them in every single post you make without people getting sick of it.
