Jake Shimabukuro rocks :)

Here's one of my favorites of him:

I also recommend you guys get his latest CD. If it's in stock now that is, I had to wait over a month hehe. It's just 15 bucks and well worth it:

I have a couple of his other CDs as well but I didn't like them as much as this latest one. Reason being that the previous CDs had a bunch of other instruments and such. The latest one is him and ONLY him.

LOL I used to play the Uke- had a great one that "disappeared" during a move years ago. I grew up in the islands, so music class was almost completely dedicated to Uke playing. I still have a lesser Uke on a shelf, which reminds me that I need to order strings. Now that my kids are getting older (6 and 3) I think I'll have to take it back up again.

Yep, Jake is awesome. I discovered him last year from seeing him on the Internet and he came in concert in Santa Cruz a week later. I went to that show and loved it, then found out he was playing in San Francisco four days later so I went to that show and it was even better. It was in this funky bar that was maybe 25ftx40ft and was packed with people, he had people sitting on stage, on the piano stool anywhere he could put them. It was cool. He's playing again in SF next month and i'm definitely going to that show as well. He's opening up for Tommy Emmanuel who is an amazing guitar player from Australia. You should check out some of his Youtube videos as well. Two of the greatest musicians on Earth together in one concert is going to be amazing. I can't wait.

I have been to a tommy emmanuel gig - very very humbling experience.

The music blew me away and the concept of how his musical mind works and flows with the instrument is magical.

I'm listening as I type. This guy is amazing! He is very talented. He picked a great song to play, too.
