Seems like I saw such a thread some time back, but had no luck searching.
edited because my initial measurements were somehow off, and I have since repeatedly tested and reaffirmed that my KL5 does not buck the voltage, going DD. The difference in output isn't as much as expected, and I had to do side by side comparisons and beamshots to even be sure there was a difference. Current draw with multiple size pairs of 3.7V cells also confirms the absence of a buck function.
So...even though there's a WXOS on the way, I'm thinking of a Seoul P4 instead, since a single 18650 or 17670 are going to be the only thing used with this head.
If anyone has any pertinent info, or a link to a helpful thread, I'd appreciate it.
