Heres a question for you light gurus. Would a Cree LED or this new P4 be able to be put in the Surefire L7 flashlight? I've been going through batteries light crazy. An L7 with a brighter light would be fantastic. Theres gotta be somebody that can do it! :)

It really depends on the type of driver. If it is a constant current driver, it will work. A SSc P4 works well in my L6.

The boost circuit, optimized for a Lux V, boosting 4.2 or 6 volts to 6+ volts, in the L7 and L5 will not work with the Cree, or Seoul. The buck circuit of the L6 works fine with them. My KL6 is set up with a Cree. A boost circuit will work if the voltage from the battery is less than the forward voltage of the led, and boost circuits set up for lux I or III leds will work fine but they are not available from Surefire. The buck/boost KL1 will work with the Cree, as well as the buck KL3.
