Driving 1.5V board with 3V

I was looking for a multi mode driver for a 3V application, but could not find one. The best i could find is this one.

Will there be any damage if i drive this 1.5V rated board with 3V? I'm planning to use it to mod a old 2D light, will be using Zinc dry cells which are 1.5V each.

You'll most likely blow it.
Any chance you could rig some sort of parallel arrangement?

This one will work for what you want to do. The other one will burn out fast.

unless the board explicitly stated 1.5V max...there is a small possibility that it wont fry...

take L0D-CE + 10440 and any light thats designed to be used with a single cell alkaline as examples...the PCB's life would be most likely shortened, but it might work if your inclined to try :poke:
