Double O-Ring on 1 x 123 TSP ?

Upon closer examination of my 1 x 123 TSP from my LSH-P, it appears that there may be a 2nd groove onto which an o-ring could be added, giving the LSH 2 o-rings on the TSP tailcap. Is this the intent or is it just the space between the threads the primary o-ring groove?

As I look at the 1 x 123 TSP that came with my recent LSH-S, I presume you mean an area in the non-annodized part at the point where the threading ends. I think an O-ring placed here would not be stable and might tend to ride up the threads. So I suspect that this is just a space.

To find out intent, we may have to wait 'til Peter weighs in on it.

The space you are talking about is not designed for an o-ring. It is an extension for the threads.
