I'm interested in GaN LEDs, and in understanding how (if) the LEDs from different manufacturers differ. I like to know how stuff works.
Does anyone have know any technical papers they can refer me to?
I'm a mechanical engineer (MEMS is my thing), not a semiconductor physicist so starting simple would probably be good. Although I work in a research group that includes some world class GaN scientists (we have an MBE reactor on site), I presently know less than nothing, and I'm reluctant to ask them anything without at least a basic grounding.
