Even though the analog shutdown date has been postponed, I read that about 500 TV stations across the US have still ceased analog transmission on the original Feb 17 shutoff date. Well, Feb 17 has come and gone already but for now, most of the Los Angeles broadcast area analog transmitters are still going until the June 12 date.

I'm already ready with two DTV converter boxes myself; the Zenith DTT-900 for the kitchen/dining room TV and the Winegard RC-DT09A which I've converted to battery power for use as an "emergency TV" (It's currently attached to a portable DVD player that has a RCA composite input).

I'm wondering what brand and model of DTV converter boxes others our using.

Some of the ones I know of:

DigitalStream DTX-9900 (RadioShack brand)
Channel Master CM7000 (Seen at Fry's Electronics; has S-Video Output)
Insignia NS-DXA1-APT (Re-Badged Zenith DTT-901 sold by Best Buy)
Magnavox TB100MW9 (Wal*Mart)
RCA DTA800 (Wal*Mart; heard this has the most sensitive tuner)
Winegard RC-DT09A (Camping World; DC and Battery Power capability)
Zenith DTT-901 (RadioShack and CircuitCity; consider the "De-Facto" converter box)
