Nite-ize headband or new headlamp?

I just found the vertical adjustment on my Noma 1W headlamp does not work anymore. The light just points to the floor.

Now I don't usually use a headlamp. Normally I just sit one f my 4AA stubbies on a table or counter doing a ceiling bounce.

I am way beyond my flashlight budget and do not want to buy another headlamp at this time.

I have a Nite-ize headband for the minimag. In addition to the AA and AAA minimags all my other AA lights would fit.

I am looking for experiences, good or bad with this or other headband. How does the light coming from the side of the head compare to a center mounted headlamp?

I don't know about that particular headband, but have used AAA lights on my homemade headbands. Small lights mounted on the side of the head work adequately.
