Again through the courtesy of 4Sevens I have these Q-MiNi123 High CRI (Warm White) and the current limited run of Neutral White to look at.

The contenders:

Heads:

pretty easy to see the difference for the Warm White (High CRI) -
surprising was the reflector color for the current limited run Neutral White -
it could be mistaken for a cool white.....

Three lights compared -

from this comparison the current limited run Neutral White could easily be mistaken for a Cool White.

this "hints" at the previous comparison beamshots may have been a Neutral White.....

this shows the current limited run Neutral White is a pretty cool Neutral White - possibly 4A or B (or even bordering on 3C or D?)

How about the original run Neutral White using the XP-E Q3 5A3?

Gorgeous shots, Vincet! Thank you for these! I have to say, by your pics, the 5A3 Neutral White takes the cake! That's the one I'd want! Followed by the High CRI, then the current neutral white, followed by the regular cool white.

VERY informative!

Thanks Apple.

The 5A3 was the first 4Sevens run of Neutral White -

Where do these emitters stand on the chromacity chart?

green circle = first run Neutral White - XP-E Q3, 5A3
blue-gray outline = second run Neutral White - XP-G R4, 4C0 or 4D0

I daresay that if the present run of XM-L neutrals matched the tone of the older neutral there would have been zero tint complaints.

Beautiful shots!

For clarification: Is the following correct? the TI light is an XP-E, the Neutral and High CRI are XP-G and of course the XM-L is just that. I only ask as that is what it looks like from the emitters and that the current run of neutrals includes XM-L lights as well.

I can confirm that the Ti q-MiNi123 Neutral is a XP-E Q3 5A3; the XM-L is as you said obviously an XM-L.
4Sevens has said that the High CRI (warm) and the current Neutrals are XP-G.
