Is the pocket clip loctited on?

I have a Tri-EDC on order and wanted to remove the clip as soon as I get it so I can beadblast the titanium finish. Does anybody know if the clip is loctited on or just hand tightened? If it's loctited on then I'll need to ask Mac to leave it un-loctited I can remove it.

I have three of his lights and none have loctite on them. The threads are tight enough you wouldn't need any.

So the clips come off relatively easily?

Yes just make sure you use a quality Allen wrench. I suggest a hand driver style.

Yes I found out the hard way I had to use an MIP Thorpe to remove my Haiku clip.

Yeah that's a cuss fit moment. Using a dremel to cut a straight line across for a standard flat head to fit usually will work.

Just FYI : when I got my ti tri from Mac I had him Beadblast it.... Don't know if that is still an option. Beautiful finish for sure!
