Hi All.
I have LED 3000m water resistant lights from an ROV that were used as video lights. I am planning on using them as they were intended as video lights but for my own diving sub 60m.
I have powered up the lights with 24v dc and they give a lovely wide beam. I have wet connectors so all that part is ok. The lights are rated to work up to 30vdc, obviously getting brighter and have a temp overload circuit which will reduce the light to 5% if over a certain temp and even power off if get hotter.
Anyway, I plan on using delrin to make the battery housing and having 2 leads from that approx 1m long which will go to each light.
I want a good battery and was thinking of using a few 3.6v li-ion batteries?
Anyone there good with electronics that can recommend the best option?
Here is a link to the uploaded pdf spec on the lights https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_crWe9lGc8xbHZHU0RsU1UzQnc/edit?usp=sharing
Appreciate the advise!
Paul.
