Limited by battery capacity only not by overheating protection. Maybe Olight X7 on High (3000 lm)?

Question: "Which flood flashlight is capable of brightest long lasting acting?"

My answer: None. Anything that is brightest will not be capable of long lasting acting.

Anything that is capable of long lasting acting will not be the brightest.

Power and runtime are reciprocals of each other. You can not have the maximum of two things that are reciprocals of each other.

I would start with a large flashlight that has lots of fuel supply, if you want a combination of high power and long runtime. Then decide which is more important: maximum runtime or maximum power. :welcome:

Thank you for welcoming me on this forum.

Maybe better question is: which flashlight has better cooling (big cooling ribs). I know that some models of Nitecore TM series (TM26, TM28...) look like four separate LED units welded together to increase cooling area. If I compare runtime graphs from Olight X7R:

and Nitecore TM26:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...AY-(4-x-XM-L-U2-1-4x18650-2-8xR-CR123)-Review
I can see that is TM26 capable of much brighter long runing action than X7R (1800 vs 1100 lm).

And there is also good old X7:
http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/sho...-X7-Marauder-measurements-(3x-XHP70-4x-18650)
which can last even at 2150 lm.

So is there any better flashlight (flood) from this point of view?

Well, I suppose if you're speaking purely flood, the ThruNite TN36-UT is supposed to run 3h14m at 2500 lumen. The NiteCore TM26 should run at least 2h30m at 1900 lumen. Although the ThruNite won't throw as far as the NiteCore it definitely has more flood and a longer runtime. Although I'm not sure what mAh battery the TM26 was tested with so its runtime numbers could be conservative.

I found out that Acebeam X45 might be the winner. It shine at 4000 lumens until batteries give up! And is not to big to carry around...

Any review of new X45? For outdoor (green nature) I prefer NW (5000° K) tint.
