    The car is extremely aerodynamic yet can hold 5 passengers. It can, without battery, cruise at 45mph in bright sun. That is why it has such long range. It's 1.5kw solar panel and 15kw battery are small but without the sun is capable of 600 miles range and can be charged with a plug if there is no sun.

    However the way most people drive even in cloudy Northern Europe where it was built it is more than capable of meeting everyday needs. The porky and inefficient cars we drive, including electric cars, would do much better if lighter and aerodynamic. However the driving public prefers a truck that looks like a truck and a jeep..etc.etc.

    Without the battery the cars range on just solar is very limited. It's not so much a solar car as it is a solar assist car that is very much dependent on the quality and length of available sunlight. It still needs to be manually charged to get anywhere near that range. Charging speeds are still slow.These cars are a long way from production ready and still in the experimental stage.
