    Not doubting you here, just would like to know why they wouldn't work. I don't think it would be illegal, it's in a factory, DOT approved housing. Keep in mind that the S6 DRL's have a dimmer, they dim when the headlights are on and are full brightness when they are off.

    see i thought the beam pattern was provided by the reflectors to the right in the photos, i am not sure if they are side emitting that's what i thought but when u look at the reflector it appears as though it takes the beam and curves it down. So what can i replace them with? i have not...

    thanx guys i think the heatsync is the metal bar right behind it, and these are S6 LEDs. Also, the housing has vents for breathing, and since it is in front of the car, the moving air makes it pretty cool i guess.
