    Manufacturers still don't get it

FWIW you're 2nd person I see mention the inconsistency of ramping direction.. yeah IMO any memory sort of stuff is awful in UIs.. it makes it less predictable. Same issue with mode memory. But you can do ramping UI without that, eg Andúril (http://budgetlightforum.com/node/56105) is basically...

    Manufacturers still don't get it

Best thing about D4 to me is the firmware is open source, relatively easy to modify, and relatively easy to flash. No UI is going to be perfect for everyone, but if its easy flash then it doesnt' matter, everyone can run their own perfect firmware. Main things I dislike about D4 UI is mode...

    Sold/Expired LF2XT Run 3(?)

This has been on my desk for awhile. :/ Not getting much use out of it and a little afraid I'll lose it (I lost a normal Al LF2XT awhile ago). Anyways... I used to carry this around every day... if you look at the top its got light scratches, just from normal use. Only really see them when...

How Many Hours Of Runtime Do You EDC?

LOL I carry a SC600 lately, not too big to ride on pocket. Quote is like 80 days on the lowest low, heh. On the lower of the mediums its stilll 50hours. I really like the 18650 battery... basically makes me not even think about battery life.

Zebralight SC600 vs Zebralight SC600W? Which do you like best? Is it a good light?

I've got both. I had the SC600 for awhile and later bought a SC600W. If I could only have one I'd probably get the SC600. I just think the SC600W is too warm. 4800K or so would have been better, I guess I want a neutral white rather than warm white. Both SC600 and SC600W color's, to me, are...

    Zebralight SC600W impressions

Screw it. Just put in order for SC600W. Ever since I got the SC600 I've not bought any other flashlights, nothing looks good in comparison. I'll check in on CPF every few weeks hoping something new is out but always end up being disappointed. So tonight happened to be one of those days where...

Liteflux LF2XT Discussion Thread (Part 5)

Wow didn't realize LF2XT wasn't available anymore. Glad I got mine when I did. Mine has a Neutral White XPE Q4 in it. Do people mod these with any more recent LEDs? Can you put a XPG in these or anything? Is the beam much worse?

    ZebraLight SC600

Man I gotta say, I was trying to be done with buying flashlights... and its been awhile, but I saw SC600 and had to order one. Just got this morning and this thing is awesome. Totally impressed. Need to get a 2900mah battery now :).

Will we ever see a true end-user-programmable UI?

LF2XT-- how could you improve on this UI at all? Why can we get an awesome UI in a AAA size light, but in 18650s we have crap?

    M3LT... it has arrived!!

FWIW it looks like you were using auto white balance on the camera, from one shot to another it looks like the whitebalance is changing. Kinda ruins ability to compare color of the beam, not that that was the main purpose but whateva.

1x AAA, Low/Med/High mode - went with Life Flux LF2XT and I'm in LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 1 cell AAA, Low/Med/High mode - going with Life Flux LF2XT - How do you like your I say use 10440 when possible. Primary Lithiums as backup. I have some Eneloops but dislike using them because 1. not as bright, and 2. more coil whine than 10440. The buzzing noise might vary from light to...

1x AAA, Low/Med/High mode - went with Life Flux LF2XT and I'm in LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 1 cell AAA, Low/Med/High mode - going with Life Flux LF2XT - How do you like your <3 LF2XT I just like using the simple UI on it. Basically you get to set a single level as 'default' that it always turns on at.... then its just double tap for super low or tap-press for super high...
