Any of these popular LEDs cause eye damage? What about with Red filters?

Do these and other L.E.Ds produce ultraviolet light to excite the phosphor? How about too much ultraviolet light escaping causing eye strain. Just a wild thought...

    Updated Inova lights???

Am I to believe that Inova has improved their whole line using updated L.E.D's and providing two output levels? Has anybody seen these lights?

    Maglite tail spring loose?

The tail spring is fine. It is only a press fit. Give it a clockwise twist while pushing it into the tailcap. Insert the batteries and all should be well.

    minimag led issues

I have two of these lights. One has a tailcap that has two internal springs that make contact to the side of the barrel. It does not matter if the tailcap is fully tightened to light up. The other does not. It is like a Mag "D" style where the tailcap has to fully tightened to light. My point is...

Possible New Version of Inova X1

Robocop, you are on the right track. It all comes down to wattage. A lower supply voltage means that there will be a higher current drawn to get the wattage needed to keep the LED at the same constant brightness. This is how the driver circuits work that drive the LED. ......Amps X Volts =...

Possible New Version of Inova X1

Just bought another OP reflector X1. I am getting the same current measurement as from the first using the same battery (around 0.510A). I installed the same battery into my 3 previous PWT gen3 X1 lights. The current is higher at 0.720-0.790A. What is interesting as well is that the last light...

Possible New Version of Inova X1

Bought a new version X1 with the OP reflector. Current draw is 510ma using a e2 Energizer lithium cell. This would be about 200-250ma less than the previous PWT version. Doing a ceiling bounce test with my older X1 lights, I found extremly little difference in overall brightness. Throw is...

    New Inova XO 1.4 watt?

I would suggest looking at the backside of the blisterpack and see what the datecode is (usually by the lower left corner). I think the 4.8 watt lights came out in 2008.

Where can I find the new 2 level mini MagLed?

I am in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and cannot seem to locate Mini MagLed yet. Is it not shipped to this area yet?

MagLite upgraded to a Rebel!! (pics in post 34)

I had this problem as well. It turns out that the hole is too small where the positive button of the D cell makes contact with the switch. I took out the switch assembly and carefully reamed out the plastic around the contact with an Xacto Knife. I then reassembled the light. Now I can bang the...

    K2 Inova's???

I just looked at my XO3.... no waffle holes, just a smooth yellow square on a silver colored hexagon plate.

    K2 Inova's???

I compared them to some of the other more bluish tinted ones and found that they were easier to see as I aimed them at the store ceiling. It could be the tint but they looked somewhat brighter to me.

    K2 Inova's???

I bought 2 X3's and 2 XO's in the last few months and they both are very warm tinted. (2008 date code on the package)

    Inova X5 at Target

I'm wondering if those lights you bought have the latest Nichia L.E.Ds in them (as per X5 production). I have 4 X5's. 1 is dated 2007 and the 3 other ones are dated 2008. The 2007 seems just ever so slightly dimmer. If there wasn't a side by side comparison you would not notice. Kinda...
