    yeah lumens isn't everything but the eagltacs Still has a higher lux plus the higher lumen so it's got to be brighter.

    Yeah the ANSI rating is more like 980, it says it right below the 1180 in the tech specs.

    thanks for the help, I understand that you can't tell the lumens, I was just speaking generally about if the light is almost out of battery

    So if I use a battery tell the led gets down to about 100 lumen(it starts with 950) would it be close to the minimal voltage? Or should I be ok?

    So I'm looking at the surefire fury 500 lumens 12000lux(maybe not sure about lux) and than the eagletac g25c2 mkii 950 lumens 21800 lux. Well I was reading a forum and a couple people said there is nothing brighter in its size than the surefire fury. I'm not trying to bad mouth surefire or talk...

    So using something like the xtar charger on a 18650 I should do just fine without a multimeter?
