    Can anybody think of a reason why 2 x 14500 batteries should not be used in this light? I think it would make more sense for me to carry these as back-up rather than AA batteries.

    Maxtoch M24 Sniper BLF Edition- similar throw to my Olight M3XS-UT but much cheaper, at least as well made and a much nicer tint. Nitecore EC11- 18350 option gives huge performance for so small a light, interesting UI including battery metering, low moonlight mode and good choice of levels...
