BessieBenny's Budget LED (DX/KD etc) Flashlights Review Roundup (Part X)

Re: Is there a budget single CR123 this forums likes? I've been happy with these from Battery Station: That represents about a years worth of batteries for me. Got the case w/ the batts for about $35. Give that as a gift w/ a light and I think that would cool.

    Eagletac T10LC2

I just thought about that as I reread the post.:D There are reasons I don't write for a living! I was worried there for a second about that drop. But she held up. I guess the upgrades are working. Time for bed. ZZZZZZzzzzzZZzzZZZZZzzzzzz*snort*zzzzZZZZzzzzz

    Eagletac T10LC2

Forgive me if I ramble a bit, but I've been awake for about 40 hours and will surely pass out right after posting.:duh2: I got my T10LC2 (production ET689) yesterday just before leaving for class/work. Right after arriving at the hospital, I put the 18650 in the charger and let her cook. All...

There IS a use for the blinding stobe mode!!!

I use strobe in much the same way when out for my nocturnal walks. Very effective. I have also used strobe against an aggressive/potentially combative subject - and the few extra seconds it buys is appreciated.

How many lights did you buy this month?

I am awaiting delivery of the following: EagleTac P10A2 LED EagleTac T10LC2 LED Wolf Eyes 9TX Raider I think Wolf Eyes will end up being the bulk of my collection - those things are solid! Ofcourse - that is if UPS ever gets around to delivering them. UPS/2nd Day Air is an oxymoron.

    Non-flashaholics using your lights.....

I've had some of the same experiences as you guys.... Two years ago I bought 6 cheapy S+W 'tactical' lights (2x123's) and gave them to those on the night shift that really needed a light. I haven't seen any of those lights in 18 months. Then, coworkers have lost my Pentagon and a Gladius...

At 3 AM You Are Awaken By Sounds Outside Your Door... What Light Do You Want?

Without giving out too much detail, I did clobber a guy on the noggin with my Wolf Eyes M90 about a year ago. It worked! Wasn't even the 13v conversion, just the standard 2 cell model. Didn't knock him dowm, but it put the hurt on him long enough to get a handle on him.

    Setting up a charging area.

Hey Silverfox, Thanks for your response! I'll be charging all li-ions, so the chemistry part is not a problem. I'm already a little spooked after seeing some of the vids showing the batteries venting or exploding, so gone are the days of just leaving the charger on the floor while I...

    Wolf-Eyes Raider Review

Excellent review! I have bought both the M90 and the Raider and have nothing but good things to say about Wolf Eyes, and Pacific Tactical Solutions. The only problem with the M90 came in the form of the 700 lumen bulbs that I had intially bought with it - they burned out way too quickly. I...

    Setting up a charging area.

I have the feeling from being around here for just a bit, that this a very detail oriented community - and while at first I thought my question would be a little OCD for some - now I don't know. Concerning chargers: I will be receiving a few lights next week to go with my small collection...

Reference to the Roar of the Pelican thread.

Question: Would marking the batteries somehow, and always keeping the same two or three together be enough to assure that they are always within 'the same state of charge'? For example, I have 5 LRB168a's for my M90. Three are marked and always kept together/used/charged for the 13v config...

    list your lights

I thought I was exercising restraint when I stopped at: NightOps Falcata NightOps Gladius Wolf Eyes M9013v Then, just by chance I took a peek at the PTS site yesterday, and now my pending order is: 6MAX HO Cree Explorer Tactical D2A Defender Tactical Flashlight EagleTac P10C2 LED...

    Individual First Aid Pouch

Looks like a decent pouch alright. I own several pieces of Maxpedition gear and they have all been worth the price! Excellent quality and long lasting performance. My EDC bag is the Falcon 2. Puts up with more abuse that I can throw at it.

    new to lights

Hi, One other difference between the 99 cent light and the 100 dollar job? Once you've had your first 100 dollar light, you'll not only want more(!), but you'll never be caught dead with one of the plastic 99 centers ever again. I bought a NightOps Falcata about 2 or 3 years ago, then I...
