    The Fenix BT series lights do cut off enough of the top of the beam to minimize the effect on oncoming traffic.

    I have the Fenix BT-20 and like it. I mostly use it as a daytime be seen light with the blinking mode. You don't have to cycle past it and the unit has memory. I like the idea of using my on high quality batteries.

    Look at the X-power Galaxy xp-g r5. You should get at least 5 hours on a single AA battery.

    This light on strobe with a 3400 battery should last about 8 hours. Conroy S-2 from Fast Tech.
