Fenix HM23 Compact LED Headlamp: Your New Go-To Hiking and Running Headlamp

For anyone else who is disappointed by the HM23 and is looking for a properly regulated AA headlamp, I can recommend the Fenix HL50 (365)-- apparently produced when Fenix were still committed to being honest with their runtimes.

Fenix HM23 Compact LED Headlamp: Your New Go-To Hiking and Running Headlamp

I have now learned that Fenix's runtime@output claims are a total fabrication, and, as a consequence, I don't recommend this light to anyone. I am returning mine. Note that it won't even stay at 70lm in medium mode:

    NEW Fenix Catalog: May, 2019

Re: NEW Fenix & Ruike Catalog: May, 2019 [Deleted - I can't be bothered even having the argument, I am done with Fenix over these highly deceptive mode summary tables which, in my opinion, are lies]

Fenix HM23 Compact LED Headlamp: Your New Go-To Hiking and Running Headlamp

I only just received it, and the manual also doesn't state the step-down condition. Mine has a slight green tint which is visible in low or medium modes and less so in high. Pic of low/close-up which shows it: https://imgur.com/a/EsYbZb0 Not too bad. Should be good enough for changing a tire...

What battery to get for Fenix PD35 (2014 edition)?

I bought a Fenix ARB-L2S 3400mAh Protected 18650 from a seller on Amazon.com which is working well. I know you may not be able to do the same depending on your Geo, but the reason I mention this is that when I went to charge it, it literally could not fit in the UltraFire WF-139 charger I have...

Fenix PD35 2014 - Is the Low mode too low?

I recently picked up a PD35 2014 for walking at night. This replaces a PD31 Limited Edition which I was very fond of, but I wanted something that had more lumen headroom for bad weather (e.g. fog), mode memory, simpler UI (no twisting the head for turbo), faster access to strobe, and dual...

Pocketability of newer Fenix PD lights

I've been a Fenix owner for several years now, and I've always found their PD series lights to be a good balance of size and performance. When the PD31 special came out I found it at the time to be a good deal more chunky than the older lights, but still acceptable for carrying in a pocket. Now...
