    Can LEDs change tint?

    I am by no means an expert, but I would not be surprised if the plastics used in the collimator could change color (or rather, become colored) when they age. This should of course not happen under normal operating conditions. Or, you have just gotten used to the tint of the light :)

    I agree with NonSenCe. For equipment you want to use and rely on, go for quality. You don't have to overdo it, but skip the lowest tier. Dealing with bad QC and sub-par build quality gets old real fast when the light (or whatever) goes out in the middle of nowhere just when you need it the most...
