I bought my first Leatherman PST from The Sharper Image catalog in 1986 or '87, and my first Surefire, a 6P, from Central Michigan Police Supply in the mid '90s. I now carry a Surge or Super Tool 300 every day, both in black oxide. My EDC light is an AAA TerraLux, Streamlight, or MiniMaglite.
