    It's really not that difficult. The cuts don't have to be a perfect size, just make sure they're more or less lined up and not too large. There's a lot of stretch in the rubber of the tubes, so a smaller cutout is better so that your flashlight will be held tightly. If the cutouts don't line up...

    I have been using this mount for the past three years with an L2D. I made mine from a single layer of motorcycle inner tube. It works ok, but after adding some rubber bands, it holds very securely over bumpy roads. Cheap, easily replaceable, make it as tight as you want to fit your flashlight...

    Best bike light?

    Ok, you guys have got my palms all sweaty... I've been using my trusty 3-year old L2D as my bike light and have been looking for something a bit brighter. This thread has me quite convinced to go for the Romisen, the Trustfire sku20392 batteries and the sku6105 charger. It all comes in at USD36...
