    Sold/Expired P60 modules - warm, neutral, cool white/XPG-S2- XML-U2 / P60 modules (part 9)

Hi Dave, PayPal sent for the following: P60 drop-in, XP-G S2, single level, 1.4A, 2.8-6V, potted with copper tape, smooth reflector. Module + potting + shipping = $35 + 5 + 5 = $45, if my numbers are right. I'm planning to use this with an AW 2200 mAh 18650 in my bored SF 6Z (bored straight...

Dereelight CL1H V4 Review (pics, comparison beamshots(incan, too), outdoor shots!)

I purchased the CLIH V3 version with a Q5 nearly two years ago. I was very impressed with the output and the design quality, but not the soft aluminum from which the body is made. I'm a full time LEO and have been working nights for quite awhile. I use my lights a lot, and consequently I have...

Orange peel finish - how to?

Thanks for the link. My main concern about sputtering is a possible lack of luminous efficiency, especially as the coating ages (yellows?). The droplets of clear coat have no anti-reflection coating on their surfaces, so some of the light will likely be lost when it enters the droplet, then...

Orange peel finish - how to?

Does anyone know of a source for a textured (orange peel) reflector coating? I've found plenty of companies who do vacuum depositing for smooth finishes, but none who do a textured reflective coating. Given the number of cheap flashlights with orange peel reflectors, it can't be that big of a...

    Kinda disappointed - Dereelight CL1H V4 MC-E, *EDITED*

I tried contacting Dereelight's service via e-mail, but the server must be down - will try again later. I read Electric Sheep's comment about cleaning and lubing the threads. I didn't clean my CLIH, but did apply grease - might that have been the problem?. In retrospect, the gritty feeling...

    Kinda disappointed - Dereelight CL1H V4 MC-E, *EDITED*

I have a Q5 CL1H, with a 1S pill, which I've carried at work every night for the past six months. I use 18650s and frequently change batteries. The tail cap has always felt gritty, but I ignored that. The light has always been reliable so long as it's screwed together tightly, and I do keep...

P4 - natural or cool tint?

Thanks for the advice. I ordered both a cool white U-bin and a natural white P4 from Mouser. However, there was no information available concerning the exact tint of the cool white one. We'll see what happens - I may have to find a better source for LEDs, where I can order exactly what I...

P4 - natural or cool tint?

Any advice on choosing between a cool or natural tint in a Seoul P4? The Luxeon 3 in my Lite-Flux LF1 needs an upgrade... I suspect that the natural white LED might appear brighter to the human eye, lumen for lumen, since more of its light should fall within the peak range of the human eye...
