    No rechargables in the Corona!

    I have used NIMH in my Corona w no problems. I modded this Corona by replacing all leds with Nichia CS Co leds. The brightness is about 3X. It's a virtual wall of light. Very nice and very functional.

    Fenix L1P substitute? ($30 max)

    I bought one of the original L1P lights and it's been in use every single day for the whole time. Can't remember now- 4 or 5 years now. It still works just like new.:) Only problem is my wife has taken a liking to it....and I have been less than successful in getting her to give it up.:(

    Best head lamp

    PT Quad. Get it on Ebay for around $21. Rugged, bright, multi-levels, superior waterproofing, reliable, light. Only drawback is AAA batteries- however the low level is adequate for almost everything including trailwalking.

    G2ZL - Great by the bed led light

    I have the G2Z with 750ma Malkoff dropin. Very nice rig. Well balanced and nearly indestructible. The ultimate bump in the night light. The only criticism is that it doesn't have a low beam for navigating around the house to check things out.... The output can only be described as a light storm.

    Ra Twisty or Clicky as a next purchase?

    I have had my Ra Twisty for a month of daily usage. I own a wide range of lights but find that this light is probably one of the best designed of them all. Very happy with the Ra Twisty!:twothumbs

    Upgrading an Arc AA?

    Millermods has done some nice work with Arc AA. I've got a Millermod Arc AA with a SWOH Lux1 and 2-stage board. The high is about 250ma and the low is 50ma. The low is amazingly bright- enough to walk a woods trail on a dark night. The mod is cosmetically perfect.
