    Arc 4 Serial Number Data

Mine wasn't on the list either -- serial number 0237, and a first too.

Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attache

Re: Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attach Thanks, JohnJ80. Wouldn't you know it, D.A.S. is out of stock and not expecting a shipment in until next week. I called Seals Action Gear but they don't normally order this kind of stuff from Maxpedition, so they don't have any in stock.

Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attache

Re: Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attach My fatboy came in the mail yesterday. Very nice. I've stuffed in all my usual EDC (PSK, lighter, zip ties, Vic Supertool RS, flashlight, snack bars, paper notepad, meds) and haven't even touched the main large compartment yet. That compartment...

    Equipped.org: new Doug Ritter Benchmade

This is a followup to my post. I used to EDC my Ritter Grip, until recently. I stopped carrying it around town because I became worried at how the knife can be flicked opened, even when the axis lock is not pulled back. (The stupid Canadian knife laws don't allow that.) With its big blade, I'd...

Anybody have a "Chawly Changer" coin dispenser?

Re: Anybody have a \"Chawly Changer\" coin dispenser Has anyone tried this with Canadian coins yet? I suspect it would work, I think the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter are the same diameters. Chawly, your website says no international shipments, but would you consider shipping to Canada? I...

Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attache

Re: Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attach Thanks for taking the time to write that up, wiredgargoyle. PM me if you want to get together while you are in the Big Smoke, say on Saturday afternoon. I'm not too far from MEC, and I'll be out and about on Saturday.

Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attache

Re: Man Purses - Proteus, Fat Boy, Tactical Attach wiredgargoyle: Just wondering if you got your Fatboy, and what you think. I'm considering ordering from Dave's -- anyone in the GTA want in, to split on the shipping costs?

    Equipped.org: new Doug Ritter Benchmade

I received my un-numbered RSK on the 16th, and have EDC'd it since. Very nice, and very sharp. My EDC folder for the past 10+ years has been a Spyderco Delica, so the RSK is a big change. Enjoying it so far!

How often does your ARC4 turn on accidentally ?

Re: How often does your ARC4 turn on accidentally Once, actually. I wear my Arc4+ on a long lanyard, tucked under my t-shirt. It usually ends up nestled in a fold of clothing around my belt line. Very comfortable, and very discreet. Somehow it turned on at level 4, and since the heat wasn't...

    Arc4 Guard suggestions

It looks like the current clip would interfere with standing the light on its tail. I see 0.3" from the screw hold to the lip, but the clip requires 0.5". Does this mean a new clip will be designed?

    question about Arc4+ tail button

Yeah the amount of solder on the pads can't be the problem because the spring in the tail should make up for any differences in thickness there. From what Peter wrote, it seems like you should be able to make the switch click by removing the tail cap and the gold disk, and pushing down on the...

    question about Arc4+ tail button

So there is some variability between flashlights in terms of the way the button feels. BobG, I wonder if you could get the one that feels like a pencil eraser to feel different by unscrewing the head slightly, say 1/10th of a turn at a time. Looking at the head, it seems to me the amount of...

    question about Arc4+ tail button

Here's something to try, bigred. Separate the head from the battery tube. The real switch is in the head, of course. Try pressing that switch with your thumbnail. In my Arc4+, it's stiff but there is a clicking sensation and a slight noise. By way of feedback to Peter, I wish the switch's...

    "Find Me" Brightness Level?

Re: arc4 finder beacon brightness level I was thinking about dimmer settings too. If you disable the self test sequence, the led glows for a few seconds when you reset the light. I thought that brightness level, or even dimmer, would make a good continous finder glow.
