    Home made flashlight, alkaline powered

So we are doing a project for the kids of our local foster care centre. Sounds a little cheesy/disney-ish, but it's true. We want to get them to make their own flash lights that can be powered by AA or C batteries. It would involve buying in bulk the parts from the local home depot, and maybe...

AA flashlight with 1-4 lumen low mode

Is there one? Can be double or single (or quad for that matter) battery, doesn't worry me. Just needs to last a very long time on low lumen mode. I don't have the time to do the research, and I know some of you flashaholics could rattle them off the top of your head. Thanks lads.

Need some help.... Need smallest brightest light

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?140-Vinhnguyen54 He mods lights to make them much brighter, but they obviously don't last as long battery wise. Spend a few min looking on the first page and see what he has available. Just a thought.

    Fenix TK40 problem

The symptom is that no matter which batteries I use, clicking the on button causes the LED to flash slightly, but not come on. The battery holder, even though it's the old type that sucks, is still working okay with a good voltage between live parts. The tailcap is brand new thanks to Fenixs'...

cheapest place to buy Tk41 U2??

One ebay caveat that I forgot to mention is that I make sure to use a popular, high volume +99% seller. Having bought over a dozen fenix's from ebay over the last few years, if I've got a fake it was so good I didn't notice. Actually come to think of it, more like 20. LD 20/22 x 11, tk 35 40 41...

cheapest place to buy Tk41 U2??

To be honest, as an Aussie, I buy all my fenix torches from HK on ebay. Basically, find the cheapest torch + freight price you can, factor in the import duty and bob's your uncle. However, they always put some bs value on the package so it flies under the radar here for duty, you could ask the...

Which model did you buy several times and why?

Re: Does Anybody Here Have Multiples Of The Same LED Flashlight? Damn you have me beat. 5 Fenix LD22's and 3 LD20's. Stashed throughout the house, cars and work. Fantastic little light.

    Fenix TK40 problem

Norm: Sweet, thanks mate that'll do it. Lab: I just got an email back from the CS person I've been emailing in china, she has a second hand tailcap that she found and is sending it to me for free. Fenix rock!

    Fenix TK40 problem

Thanks for that Lab, I emailed them last night. Good news and bad news though - I got a reply! bad news is, the reply was "The TK40 went out of production a long time ago, and we no longer carry spares for it". So, I am going to go McGuyver on my flashlight and fix it the old fashioned way...

    Fenix TK40 problem

Sadly the rubber boot was lost years ago. Been looking for it since I broke the original around 2 years ago. Was able to ignore it until the 2 yr old got hold of the empty flashlight while the batteries were on charge (yeah I learned that lesson) and played the "will it float" game. Either way...

    Fenix TK40 problem

Oh while I'm at it, anyone figured out a permanent fix for the battery holder undoing itself?

    Fenix TK40 problem

I wrecked my tk40 tailcap, 'cause the rubber button cap got torn and the torch went swimming. It dried out, but it doesn't work well anymore (pita to click and stuff). Can I get a whole new tailcap assembly? The aluminium is still in good condition but the electrical part is dodgy. I really am...
