    Is Surefire Classic Series ITAR controlled?

    Call Surefire they will give you an RMA you can FEDEX the light to them and they will repair it and send it back to you. Not sure if this helps. Surefire HAS excellent customer service. Always has just had a recent experience with them. A+++++. Oh, and they do answer email.

    I see absolutely no problem with this in carry on. I have traveled with many flashlights and had no problem rechargeable or not.     The ideal flash of light is a slightly overdriven incan bulb. If it is regulated so much the better.
