I was just about to pull the trigger on one of these until I got out my Titanium Olight S1 and was reminded of its awful green-tinted "neutral" light. After spending $80 for it, the horrible tint made it unusable and it's spent it's life on my shelf - and dealers don't allow returns or...
I left the battery outside last night and had my wife take it, along with a large collection of old batteries to our township's recycling station. They told her we should just throw all batteries in the trash, which surprised me. This is in New Jersey, which I guess makes it less surprising.
I have an Olight CR123A battery sitting next to an Olight RCR123A and charged the wrong one. I charged it in a Nitecore D2, and it took the battery up to 3.7V (normally 3V).
Is there any danger in doing this? And is the battery now safe to use?
Re: Plans for Olight Javelot with XPL HI?
I'm referring to the factory XP-L HI, not the Olight dedomed XP-L. The factory "domeless" LED is reported to have a more consistent tint than the custom modified "dedomed" equivalent.
I can understand that Javelot started using the custom modified...
Re: Plans for Olight Javelot with XPL HI?
Are they using an XP-L HI on the M3XS now? That's what I'm looking for but their website states it uses a "Customized Cree XP-L LED".
Has anyone heard if Olight has plans to update their Javelot products to use an XP-L HI or XHP35 HI or other similar factory domeless LED? I've been wanting to get a Javelot, but the reports of the bad tint on the Olight dedomed have kept me away. It only seems natural they'd upgrade the...
Is it just me or do any of you get paranoid about using your flashlights outdoors? I live in an average middle class suburban neighborhood and I often think people will be suspicious if they see me using a flashlight at night and may call the cops. For example, there's a pond very close to me...
I bought an SC5w about a month ago, which was then followed by a SC62w, a SC52w, and a H600Fd III. I'm about to buy a H52Fw which should complete my ZL collection to cover all my needs. I'd love to get an SC32w, but they are out of stock everywhere and I keep telling myself that my Olight S1...
Thanks for the feedback. Do you think the floody H52Fw is the way to go or is not as good with the low lumens of the H52? I'm digging my floody H600Fd III.
Is the difference in weight between the H52 and H600 enough to make it worth buying an H52 as a lighter alternative when you already own an H600?
I'm wondering if the H52 would be better for extended, close-up tasks like reading in the dark.
Tachead, your post in another thread, quoting an email from ZL sealed the deal for me. My only remaining doubt was the possibility of a new Hi CRI headlamp in the near future, but ZL's response made it seem unlikely. I just ordered a H600Fd III.
Thanks for your help!
Nice review!
I have an MT10C and love the three-button UI. I've considered getting an MT20C, but was baffled that it offered only have the lumens as the smaller MT10C.
