Hi Jayrob, I was wondering to upgrade my MagLite myself (its still going strong with the T6 :) )
I checked it out and the led/pcb is 12mm. My simple question is that I can simply replace it with for example: k***domain.com/product/details.S021213 right ?
The other parts are available to me.. (see picture)
just wondering what the costs would be to revive the flashlight by letting a head being made for it.. with preferably a design on it.

Ok, so if I am right..
Desolder the red wire.. unscrew the board.
Remove old board + thermal paste, and put new thermal paste.
Place the 16mm board, and try (prolly have to grab a new wire) to solder it to the + on the new board.

Hi there,
Been a while since I posted here.
Soon I will make a small photoreview (Haven't got the time yet due exams).
Here are 2 pictures. I replaced the reflector with a MOP-reflector, and replaced the plastic lens with a glass one.
It fits very nice and I have a bit more of a floody...
Received this light a week ago or so. And will post a detailed review when I go urban exploring again.
For what I can say at this moment: WOW :D (running on 2x18650)
Hi all,
I was wondering if I could simply mod this old flashlight I had laying around to XM-L. The flashlight I am talking about is: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafi...4-cr123a-18475
What I want to do is just replace the led with this one from KD...
As the title says..
Preferably to let me be able to use 18650 batteries
Needs a nice floody beam, and good runtime.
3 modes... high / med / low (no memory)
~ output at high atleast 800+ lumens (if that is possible???)
Anyone that wants to do this job PM me with details. (costs etc.)
