I researched and purchased a AAA light a few months ago. I was also worried about the keychain attchment of the Maratac. And I thought the Fenix was a little pricey. I went with the iTP EOS Upgrade Edition and absolutely love it. Great little light and only $21 or thereabouts.
Good point. His price range is much less than what those SF's appear to be. The Quark is around $75 and I think the mount he found was pretty inexpensive. I seriously doubt he'd want to spend much more than $100.
Guys,
I've been a flashlight fan for a while, but I am not a hunter. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I was visiting with my bro-in-law who is an avid hunter. He was shocked at how bright my 4Sevens Quark AA Turbo was and started talking about how to mount it to his rifle for hunting varmints...
Huh. Good to know. I just figured it was me or the particular clips I'd bought. I hate to do away with the clip entirely. Has anyone tried a larger claw type clip as opposed to the little McGizmo clips? I wonder if something with more tension would work out any better...or if it'd be about the same.
A few months ago I lost my old Arc AAA. I had a McGizmo 20mm clip on it. Several times I had noticed that it came off of my keyring in my pocket, but finally it must've happened when I took my keys out of my pocket, because my beloved light was gone.
I did some research on CPF and ended up...
I got my iTP EOS Upgraded (natural finish) in the mail today. Wow! What a GREAT little light for ~$20! I couldn't be more impressed. The threads feel pretty smooth and the UI is as simple as can be. I give it an A+. I hate that I lost my Arc AAA, but this light's output is in another class...
I made a decision that I feel pretty good about. I was having a wee bit of heartburn with the $40+ price of the LD01. Once I saw the reviews on the iTP EOS Upgraded and saw the price, I decided to go with that. I just went with the regular anodized since I don't really care about scratches...
I've thought about it, but my old Arc AAA wasn't a regular Arc. Someone on here modded it with a Luxeon LED and a ball lens. It could really through. I think I want higher output than a stock Arc.
I'm liking the look (and price!) of the ITP. I love the Fenix lights, but may give one of...
Hmm. I can't make heads of tails of the numbers from the Peak website.

Any help would be appreciated. Specifically:
What is the difference between the 10180 and 10440? Do the numbers on the page have anything to do with candle...
Any particular reason you carry the aluminum more? I'm liking the look of the LD01. I see people recommending stainless. What is the consensus here? Any advantage to either metal?
