yeah i have a charger for the nimh c batteries, thankfully i already had a 2 c mag mod i have been using. the 2d is direct drive the mod to convert it to 3c wasnt a prob at all. removed the annodize, cut the spring and cut a sleeve, im pretty impressed at how simple it was. i didnt want to have...
ive seen several things i can do battery wise for my 2 d p7 i was thinking of going wit 3 1/2 d batteries, but then it have to buy a charger to fit. does any one still sell the aa to d converter? it converts 6aa to 2d, or is there something i can do with this stocpile of cr123s i have? maybe...
damn, that pedestal cant be too high are you crazy? you had to cut the reflector WHAT! sorry that is sarcasm, thats the same heatsink i used on my p4 mod and everyone gave me hell about it. looks good.
yeah i looked at those. i wasnt sure if they would fit but yeah i think ill try that. thanx, glad someone doesnt think im a complete idiot.
ill probably end up getting one of those but for now i pretty happy with the chopped mag reflector you really cant even tell. that is until i get done with...
well i think i fixed the problem. 1st i cut off the top of the reflector, about 1/8 of an inch. glued it to the lense now making it one piece so if i break my lense ill likely have to replace the reflector too. 2nd i put some loctite on the threads and adjusted it to the best position it is not...
yes its a p4. and yes the light sits way too high. thus causing me to think that if i got a reflector that was less deep it would fix this. i gues cutting off the lip would work but with the driver in there there isnt much more room to push it down without possibly kinking a wire. im not trying...
no its too deep. if you focus it out to the point the head is almost completly unscrewed it works great.the heatsink has a raised pedestal. if the reflector was about a half inch shorter and maybe even tapered more it would be great
i just modded a mag c and the reflector is too deep causing a dark spot in the beam. is there a shallow reflector available that would fit?also what is the reflector size for a c cell mag? 48 or 50 mm
does anyone know of anyone who mkaes led heatsinks for mag's in the us? not that the ones ive got from overseas arent of good quality, it just takes so damn long for them to get here. 3 + weeks from litemania. and i still havent recieved it.
yes sorry my mind was moving faster than my fingers could type. i correctted it. yes the c cell is going to use the micropuck diver. but the d cell direct drive im not really sure what to use. any battery recommendations would be helpful. or any other info on how to modify a 2d mag with a p7...
