Shipped (Still available): ReyLight Custom-Lumintop‬ Tool Ti Titanium AAA

I've made some tests and found out that my battery is exhausted. After replacing it the difference is noticeable. By the way, with electronic switch it looks the same way as with direct link. So the reason was in battery and rust doesn't affect it. Overall, I like it and now it's my favorite AAA...

Mine arrived two weeks ago (to Europe) and works OK. It had rust too. The M-H modes look almost the same too. However it doesn't bother because I rarely use H. Will check how it works with direct contact to battery.

    1.5 V, Li-ion is not recommended

This is what I was not sure about. After reading some info about drivers I was wrong thinking it is both buck/boost. Ok, so it is possible in theory but impractical. This is a great concern in case of small lights. Thanks! This is exactly info I was looking for.

    1.5 V, Li-ion is not recommended

Here are some examples, especially Titanium versions tend to this issue. Lumintop Tool Ti Klarus MiX6 Ti Fenix LD01 and LD02 For example, in this Fenix LD01 thread people report that the driver circuit provides higher outputs with Li-ion: I can also confirm that my Klarus Mix6Ti behaves the...

Got it, thx. I already own a flashlight with Nichia and like it.

    1.5 V, Li-ion is not recommended

Some of small flashlights have an issue with overheating at high voltage. I suppose that the driver (constant current) supplies higher voltage/current to the emitter and that causes overheating. What I don't understand is why it can't supply always the same current/voltage regardless of input...

I'm curious if this mod has the same driver as original. How efficient is it compared to the original? Have anyone made runtime tests? I suppose it might have less runtime or lower output due to Nichia emitter.

Maybe you guys suggest some reliable and relatively cheap delivery service from China to Europe. I'm about to buy but don't want to get it stuck somewhere. It's better to pay extra money for delivery then.

    *NEW* Maratac AAA Titanium

I find it similar to Klarus MiX6 Ti. Wonder how it's compared in terms of beam profile. Maybe someone already owns the Al version.

Designing an LED flashlight for Kickstarter

I've backed SS as well because of its durability... Although Ti is less durable and more expensive I'm still considering it. That's because of high quality circuit with balanced output levels and precise machining advertised. For me these two are most important. As for tint, I'm happy with 219B...

Good job, Josh. Then with Nichia 219 it may become legendary. BTW What version is on the photo? Stainless steel?
