My 6AA-to-2D (button-top) arrived today. Well packaged. Well marked. Charging clip wires included.
For info of other non-USA buyers, note mine took 16 days to arrive, but DID arrive.
Eric is a VERY good guy!
We had a suggested limit of $10 for gifts to exchange at my office Christmas party, so I bought a 2 pack of crank lights, but took them back because my wife had already gone out and bought 2 sets of fancy hot chocolate & fancy flavoured coffee mixes. When the presents were eventually opened...
Well, it was about -43 C (BITTERLY cold, either C or F scale!) with the wind-chill last night, and I was using both my Dorcy 41-4299 with NiCd pack and my Kel-Lite 4 D stubby with 8AA to 2D adaptor with 8 eneloops, yet both of them performed very well.
I was carrying them in my duty coat...
I had bought a Kel-Lite 4 D small head back in 1976, which was great for a long time, but was put aside for a long time. as the reflector and lens were worn out, then gave it to one of my sons for a few years.
I decided to give him a Mag 3 C with a MagLED module and took back the K-L. I have...
Same has been cut & re-threaded, and runs the 1331 bulb quite nicely with the 8AA to 2D adaptor. I will be using it this weekend and will see how it is for night duty use.
If you have a local battery retailer, they MAY be able to build you a NiMH stick for you, plus sell you a charger hook and AC and / or DC cord. The local-buil sticks are usually cheaper with higher mAh rating than OEM and will still work in a current charger.

I got my Kel-Lite 4 D (now nicknamed Stubby!) back from the machine shop, and found a 44 mm diameter acrylic watch crystal to use as a lens at the local jewelry store. It will be carried in my jacket pocket as a back-up light. It is quite impressive light output, given its size.
Hopefully I...
From my last list, the only change is:
- Dorcy 41-4299: now has a borofloat lens. I am getting used to the reverse clicky switch. I loaned it out last weekend; the user thought it was bright, but too long (he uses a Streamlight Stinger - yet, he was recently promoted!;
- Kel Lite 4 D small...
I bought an 85 g tube of Permatex 22064 (or 22058) dielectric silicone grease from a local auto parts jobber - under $10 Canadian, with taxes, and easy to find.
I am running a TLE-300M in a Mag 2 D with 2 x 18650 cells. It has been sitting in my carrying case for a few weeks now, and only turned on briefly lately for testing against other lights. I found that when I did have it with me for duty carry, it lasted not quite 2 shifts of 18:00 - 04:00 of...
