Lot's of threads on the the non-existent customer service by Imalent. I had to use the threat of posting my experience with them on CPF to get things fixed. Posted anyway after I got my replacement.
There's an old thread about how bad the after service care is with them (from many years ago). I had to pull the "I'm going to post this on CPF" before they relented and replaced a light that was only months old that I'd sent back to them. Never again

I've been happy with my PD40. It's lights up the golf course where I walk my dog. Need to keep lookout for coyotes. Stated throw is 400 meters

Been using it for about 6 months now. Only change I'd make is to either get rid of the strobe function (it's not a tactical light) or move its position to the other side of off. Annoying to keep ramping up and going to strobe. Other than that, a really solid light.
Tomorrow night, I'm going to see Midge Ure (of Ultravox). If you don't know him, he's most famous for writing "Do they know its Christmas). Audience is restricted to 50 thanks to Covid. Very hyped - one of my all time favourites.
The hobby has matured to the point that the retail market can provide lights of extraordinary power at reasonable prices. The days of the custom building is no longer necessary. I was recently playing with my Elektrolumens XM-3 and remembering when it was the brightest led in my possession...
