Advice - why do I need (another) knife?

So far so good. Gets a bit more attention of course and quick clean up than kitchen knives but so far nothing visible.

    HDS Systems #23

What’s current turnaround time on repairs? I have a stand in from another company that while I like it well enough it isn’t the same as my beloved rotary… and my thumb is getting a bit sore from trying to turn the tailcap, muscle memory just won’t update!

Advice - why do I need (another) knife?

Two years went by in a hurry, figure I owe you all the end of this story! Comments about too thick to be thin, too thin to be thick and too long resonated… then I ended up moving and getting distracted by that plus the pandemic. Anyway, ended up with a wilderness explorer in cru wear and really...

Advice - why do I need (another) knife?

Fair point. I’ve been waiting to turn in crocodile Dundee for 40+ years. So far no luck, but always good to be prepared

Advice - why do I need (another) knife?

Need advice from y’all. I like to be clear about needs vs wants. Last night I spent some time looking at the bark river site and decided I “need” an STS-7.5. But I need help figuring out why, because surely it can’t be a ‘want’ that I’ve confused with a ‘need’ :-) I like nice stuff...

Until HDS comes out with a key chain flashlight, what are you carrying?

The thing about these threads is just when I figure I’m content I suddenly find myself googling a few lights I haven’t heard of and saying “ooh, that’s neat”.... And, to be slightly off topic ... “Formerly KE7AYF”, why formerly? The glow of a radio makes a reasonable light as well :poke: (I’m...

Need a flashlight for my parents

This. Many parents (or grandparents...) have a nightlight in the bathroom anyway to avoid general time fall hazards, makes good sense to me to replace with something that comes on automatically during a power outage. We have some from GE but there are lots of good options. Additional plus is...

Until HDS comes out with a key chain flashlight, what are you carrying?

Peak Ultra Eiger... in Copper. I find for my keychain light I need a bit more intensity at the expense of thermal management, because I often use it during the day to look in/under things. In that scenario I don’t need it long but do need to bring the lux up to the ambient conditions my eyes...

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Sigh... busted... noticed the jacuzzi lights didn’t work the previous day and was looking forward to the opportunity / hoping no one else called maintenance :sssh:

What did you use your flashlight for today?

Took kids down to hotel jacuzzi after dinner and found the lights didn’t work. Turned on my ZL H600c underwater and lit it up! (much panic from family... “but you love your lights... what if it isn’t waterproof?” )

How many people still use light sticks

I keep a couple boxes in a downstairs closet also, partially because the light and partially because of the novelty - if we need to be downstairs waiting out severe weather for instance I figure activating them and hanging a few up might be useful to entertain / calm down the kids if needed...

    Headband for HDS

Thanks Peter. This particular headstrap is from approximately the Hero4 era, maybe 4-5 years ago. Amazon search for the second part is “gopro flashlight adaptor”. I happened to grab one by a company called “Ztto”. @usdiver yes, rubber strap holds the light in, I assume that will be the first...
