First test of my drone mounted lighting

Your staff will want to understand that designers/inventors of drone accessories may or may not be the end user of said drone (and drone accessory) Just like there are rocket scientists that never ride in the rockets they design. The subject here is affixing the brightest and longest beam...

First test of my drone mounted lighting

It would be a good idea to remove the uneducated complainer from the thread. It could then return to being useful without the off topic complaining that has been of zero value.

First test of my drone mounted lighting

Yes, I suggest that is exactly the case. Thanks for all the helpful content provided thus far. It may be helpful if the offended and triggered party, no longer rushes back to read this thread to complain. Thanks. And based on the fact that the complainer wrote about the FAA...

First test of my drone mounted lighting

That is good to know. I will put it to the test once I make the revised 3D printed part to angle the beams apart. What is this value (41%) based on?

first lights Arriving for the drone project

I got a couple of Fenix PD36R lights for the drone lighting project. Both came with a free Fenix EO1 (AAA powered) keychain light. Both impressed me. The little key chain light has 3 modes 5, 25 and 100 lumen and for its size, its very bright.

turbo or boost is useless to me (rant)

If a light is advertised as 2000 lumens but only runs at that output for a minute and then drops down to 600 lumens, then sell it as a 600 lumen light!!!!! Ive spent about 2 weeks searching for a light for a specific project. Drone mounted light for search and rescue Ive poured over...
