I’ve agreed to purchase lights with red lens for Girl Scouts doing a night hike. I’d like to stay around $25. each but may go more if necessary. I don’t want to break the bank but I do want a decent light. Any suggestions appreciated.

Received the lantern, plugged it to charge & green light displayed. So, assumed it was charged and it did turn on, went thru a view modes turned off, came back later & would not turn on. Plugged in to charge, again green light. I pulled the battery and it is charging on my charger...

Edit ; it is the 2200 halogen model, not led but still seems to be a good deal. comes with home and car charger cords.
Thanks for the replies. I am looking for a replacement battery tube. A battery leaked and although I was able to get it out the tube seems to have shrunk as AA batteries no longer fit in the tube.
I recently purchased the malkoff turnkey md2 with the high/low switch to gift a friend. Can this flashlight use the AW18650 battery? If so will it use the flat top and/or regular top?

Received the mini last night but I only had time for a quick comparison. I'd say (strictly subjective) the El C (level 8) is slightly brighter and offers a little more spill. I'm taking both to work with me tonight (outdoor school) so hopefully I'll be able to use them more side by side. BTW...
I have an El Cap and love it. I should receive the mini AA this week. Sorry, I'm not in to the lumens etc. but I will post a subjective comparison if you like.
