    Night Cutter Problems

Thanks, I just sent e-mails out, so hopefully I will get a response. Yes, I checked the batteries, new SureFire's, made sure that they worked in another light. I was afraid that they were out of business, it is too bad. I really wanted to try to find some more of their lights. The M60L is one...

    Night Cutter Problems

Awile back I traded a Surefire Aviator for a Lightship Enterprises Nightcutter M60L. I have been using this light a lot, and it is one of my favorites, very well made. Recently it just quit working. I have never abused it, or left it on for extended periods. I cannot imagine that the LED is...

    $70 bucks, what's a good aa(a) lux light I can get

I would suggest a PEAK stainless Kilimanjaro. Very good light, tough, durable, and bright enough for normal everyday use. www.pocketlights.com

    Sold/Expired Mag Reflector

Thanks everyone. I think I might try to texture/stipple the reflector myself, but I will probably end up getting an aluminum one also. I think that the aluminum reflector might help to heatsink the LED assy. The K2 LED seemed to get quite warm, so I have not yet had it on for extended periods...

    Sold/Expired Mag Reflector

Thanks Tritium, those look nice, the MOP is probably what I am looking for. BTW, do you know what the boro lens is?

    Sold/Expired Mag Reflector

Recently I installed a Daimond white Luxeon K2 LED bulb replacement in a 3D Maglight. While I am very pleased with how bright it is now, my main gripe is that the stock reflector is less than ideal. Does anyone know where I can get a textured alumimum replacement reflectror for my MagLite...

    7 watt LEDs

Thanks everyone. Since they are so inexpensive, I think I will order a couple of the Golston 7w and try them out.

    7 watt LEDs

I have heard some rumors that there are seven watt LED lights on the market. Has anyone seen any of these? If so, what kind of output do they have? Also are any made by reputable, high-quality manufacturers?

    Help deciding on surefire

For working on vehicles, the 15 lumen setting of either a L1 or L2 would be ideal. You don't want too bright of a beam, it would just cause excessive glare. For your other intended uses, a brighter beam would be good, so the L2 with the low/15 lumen, high/100 lumen settings would be better...

Does the U2 still have the "donut hole" problem?

I have 2 U2's, and have not noticed any "donut hole pattern" in the beam of either of them, nor on my best friend's U2. Hmm, I do notice one if I put the light like, 1" from the wall! Other than that, just a nice even beam.

    U2 or Gladius?

I have both a Gladius and a U2. My U2 is my main tactical light, backed-up by a L4. For tactical purposes, I much prefer my U2. I like the ablility to quickly and easily adjust the beam intensity before transitioning into varying ambient light enviornments, and I like the quality of the beam...

    Knives for Defence

I usually carry at least 4 knives on me, esp. when out of my house. I will have a 6"-6 1/2" double-edged fixed blade, strong side IWB reversed, just in front of my main carry gun, a 4"-4 1/2 fixed blade, front center horizontal (belt buckle area), and a 3 1/2"-4" fixed blade in neck carry. These...

    Recommend a Handgun

An update on my views of the SIG P226. One of my best friends/co-trainers was at my house Sunday afternoon, and had his new carry/range gun, a SIG P229 DAK .40 S&W. The DAK trigger is a lighter DAO trigger, and to me has a very similar feel as a Kahr trigger. The pull is around 6lbs., and is...

    Automobile HID light

Recently one of my friends totaled out his BMW. We snagged the undamaged headlight assy. from the drivers side, and it it has HID lamps. I was thinking of taking the lamp and machining a handheld light for it, and running it off of 4 CR123 batteries. Then I started to think about it some more...
