    fenix-store going downhill?

Everybody seems to have good things to say about fenix-store.com, but I certainly got screwed. They pushed back their ship date twice on me then when they finally did send the light it was the wrong thing, and it takes them forever to respond to email. I ordered a P3D and some 123 batteries on...

    Lose weight with Powernoodle

gadget_lover: Yeah, portion control is the one place where almost every diet agrees. It's fascinating when I think of gastric bypasses. People are paying a lot of money and having a very serious surgery because they can't control their portions. I'm not saying we should make fun of anyone...

Anal car owners / Recommended car cleaning/care

My car doesn't do anal. I brought her up better than that.

    Lose weight with Powernoodle

I think you really should focus more on getting a good weight workout two or three times a week. Personally, I run about 3-5 miles 2-3 times a week. This basically means I'm spending 24-45 min on the treadmill (or outside) on mon/wed/fri. Actually it's been more like once or twice a week for...

    P2D-CE vs. P3D-CE throw comparison?

The L2D-CE and P2D-CE are supposed to have the same head, but on flashlightreviews.com, the L2D-CE had much better throw. I was thinking I'd want the P3D-CE because it should have better throw. Chao's post seems to confirm this. L2D-CE = 2980 Lux P2D-CE = 2200 Lux P3D-CE = 3050 Lux So I...

how many lux = assault with flashlight?

I'm surprised I couldn't find any threads on this ... probably just searching for the wrong thing. How bright do lights have to get before people start getting sued for pointing them at other people? I still haven't seen anything that compares to the 9720 Lux @1m of a 3D Krypton Mag or the...

    Fenix P2D OR P3D

Once a light gets up past 100 lumens, I'm more interested in throw than overall output. I ordered the P3D because I was hoping that the throw would be in the 3000+ Lux range. It bothered me that flashlightreviews.com had the L2D-CE at 2980 Lux but the P2D-CE at just 2200 Lux. The L2D-CE is a...

Who wants a cheap AAA Cree/Seoul light?

I'd love to see an L0D-CE that had the interface and tail clicky of the L1D / L2D / P2D / P3D, but I'd settle for just an E1 with a Cree and H3 anodizing. I feel exactly the same as r0b0r. I really wouldn't mind a single-mode twistie that much, but the multimode ones are ridiculous. Can't...

what's the smallest good light with a tail switch?

So, nothing then? GeorgePaul: I can't see whether any of them are compatible with Fenix or not, but it doesn't look like LightHound has any Leef bodies smaller than 1x18650 (and the P2D is smaller than that already). TigerhawkT3: Is there a special smaller model of the HDS EDC you're talking...

LED Light for use on pellet gun?

The Streamlight TL-3 is a very stury incandescent with more throw than any LED. It's made to be put on guns, and it's a pretty good deal at $60. If you're concerned about recoil (which you probably shouldn't be), there's a tougher shock-proof model available. I'd just get that and a regular...

What Led light can match the throw of a Mag 6D?

The Lumapower M1 comes close to the Mag's throw and has double the output. It sounds like the Lumapower MRV is going to beat the Mag's throw.

what's the smallest good light with a tail switch?

Are there any good AAA lights with a tail clicky (or reverse-clicky) switch? I just don't like twisty flashlights very much, but I haven't seen anything smaller than the P2D (or other single 123A lights) with a tail switch. I think thickness plays a big part in how comfortable something is in...

p1d ce saved me from a cold night out in the bush!!

You're right. I just thought it was obvious he was totally full of crap and couldn't prove any of it, so I thought I'd have some fun with it. It certainly isn't my standard behavior to rant like that, and I wasn't expecting hostile responses from anyone but the OP.

p1d ce saved me from a cold night out in the bush!!

Well I guess I'm the big moron here if everybody else thinks it's perfectly reasonable that a guy nearly destroyed his beloved car doing 75 MPH because he couldn't see a kangaroo, then he continued driving at 75 MPH with no headlights and just a friggin flashlight. Yeah, that's a totally...

Got my P3D, lux readings were...(now, with runtime graph)

Re: Got my P3D, lux readings were... Well, it doesn't seem that impressive, but on flashlightreviews.com, L2D CE = 2980 Lux throw P2D CE = 2200 Lux throw so 3050 Lux from the P3D CE certainly isn't bad, and I'm pretty impressed to see 3115 Lux from a 17670.
