Most reliable: Fenix, Nitecore, Olight, or other?

My least reliable: Fenix. I have reliability issues, which couldn't be resolved without returns or returns to China. Runner up: Eagtac. Best for me: Olight. I have a bunch of them and no troubles so far. After posting this, they'll probably all fail!!

    Is Olight a good brand?

A year later and more successes for Olight and another failure for Fenix.

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

As OP, I am not sure if Malkoff for reliability or cheap lights to throw away are best; I am thinking the in-between (Fenix, others) are the WRONG place to be- worst of both worlds. A different strategy is needed for me! Thank you all for your replies. Off to mail the HL55 for warranty service!

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

The PD35 went back under warranty. On every light I have complained about: Did I check and clean the threads, spring contacts, contacts on batteries, and check the batteries... of course. This does raise my original point... how reliable are these lights?

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

I have had ANOTHER! A Fenix HL55 headlamp. It worked fine since last winter. It won't work at all now. Not abused, no battery leaking, etc.. I need to remind myself: "No more lights that are worth a bother- just cheap lights that are thrown away when they fail!"

    Is Olight a good brand?

I have 6 Olights and have had no troubles. That's a better track record for me than Fenix, Surefire, or Eagletac.

HELP! Olight m22 vs Eagletac G25C2 MKII

I have/had both. They are similar in throw and flood. My M22 is working fine. My G25C2 MKII failed and is on a vacation back to China. I expect to see it this fall, if ever. If it wasn't for that (hard to ignore, like death) I'd take the Eagletac. IOW, take the Olight! Dave

What would you guys consider a good replacement for the Eagletac G25C2 MK. II (I doubt I'll ever see it again with shipping to China and back)? I don't know which lights I should be looking at. Thanks, Dave

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

After 3 failures in a year, my new rule will be "Don't buy any flashlight that you wouldn't throw away if it fails." After all, they're tools- you'd throw away a broken wrench, hammer, etc., right?

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

The dealer(GG) received the Eagletac. They confirmed that it is defective. It's off for a 2-3 mo. trip to China. It'll be outdated by the time I see it again! I think I'll go to Wally or HD..

There was nothing rattling in any of these. Thanks, Dave

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

To answer a few questions: The problems I had with the Eagletac and Fenix PD35 were the lights didn't work- clicking produced no results. They were not old or abused in any way. The batteries were Eagletac and the charger is a Nitecore. I'm sure it's not the batteries. The same batteries...

How reliable are these LED lights? Others having troubles?

Hello everybody, I just had my third dead light this year. I don't abuse (or even use on turbo much). I have returned a Fenix PD35 and (today) an Eagletac G25C2 MK. II Neutral White. I had a Fenix LED headlamp that was draining batteries. I threw it away. My question: Are others having such...

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

I bought a Fenix TK75. The reason: to (hopefully) stop me from buying any more lights. I can't reasonably justify a more powerful one. I have a nice collection of less-powerful ones (Olight M22, Eagletac G25C2 MK II, Olight M10, etc.). We'll see if it works.

Need for warm vs. cool tint LEDs?

I have two "neutral white" lights: Eagletac SX25L3 w/MT-G and a G25C2 MK II. This is purely subjective, but I think they're easier on my eyes. I am fine with the Olight M22 vs. the Mk II, but, well, the Mk II is more pleasant for me to use. I also find those Eags better outside, where brown...
