    >>> The Ideal 3-Mode Levels

Everybody mentioned even numbers, so.... :D But i know, i couldn't even notice the difference between 463 or 480. Oh and i meant that for a middle size flashlight. (1x18650)

Open the Fenix TK15 head - difficult?

Thx for the info and pics. I have tk12 r5, and i could end up disassembling the head sometime. Now i know where to separate the head. From the look of the head, it is the same with tk12. I mean where the reflector holder part + the driver holder part of the head can be separated.

    fenix tk12 r5 problems

A couple of weeks ago my tk12 r5 started to malfunction. (didn't turn on most of the time, and if it did, it skipped modes) After checking battery, the switch and cleaning contacts it still didn't work. I am out of the warranty time, so i decided to DIY what i can. (before that i contacted to my...

I wish fenix would create a brighter TK11

Tk15 / tk21 is "ugly" and looks nothing built like a tank. But tha'ts juts my opinion. Tk12 is also a good "tank" looking light. (I have this one) It's a little more compact than the slighlty longer tk15/21. And i also don't like its head design and 2 buttons operation. Too bad it can't be...

i would add a new category(or replace your first one): 1-3. and that would be a "normal" non flashaholic person. i guess.

    New Fenix XM-L flashlights - TK21, TK41 and TK70

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

Basically we can say that the majority here is "tool man". :)

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

Exactly. :) or more like: i want to look at the flashlight and appreciate it as if it were a sculpture and want to use the flashlight as a hobby tool to better see other things. + One more thought: if it would be only a tool for me, i wouldn't care how it look like. It does the job and that's...

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

Well, yes. But i was referring to the heat transfer, and cost.

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

First of all. It is not a big deal for me neither. I just pointed out that it would be much nicer to have the pcb covered. And how do you explain that, that there are manufacturers with this "covered" setup? Maybe those manufacturers care more about this than the others.

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

I would do that if i could disassemble the head. Too bad it is well glued. (fenix)

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

Well. I understand that it is not important for some guys. Maybe it is just me. I like "perfection" (i know, there is no such thing as perfect...), and when it comes to flashlight i can't help noticing this. I mean why do the manufacturers care about the flashlight design so much and not care...

Design flaws? The LED in flashlights

Most of the led lights have the led unit (the led on a small pcb) in the reflector without any "cover", leaving the led unit bare, so we can see the whole pcb. Like in this picture: It is just not aesthetical. Especially in smaller reflector size. However, there are some manufacturers which...
