Excellent review

questions:
Does the clip seem flimsy? I like the design but the wire looks thin.

Also can you do a pic of the light on on flat surface to see the spill angle? The Incindeo has a shallow reflector which should make a nice wide spill. Which is rare these days but I like wide spills. I think spill is often overlooked but there is a huge differnce between spills. From 45deg of the Magled to over 90deg of most incandescents. I think wide spills make better walking lights because you can see your feet at the same time you are lighting up 30yrds down the path.

Thanks Dave.

The clip seems reasonable but not super firm; a real strong pull could bend it out. It's about the same thickness as the Avenger clip, but longer.

I'm taking off on the weekend on a 1 week trip, but will try and get some angled beamshots for you when I return.

When I compare to my L1d (which is unpotted so re-focused a bit) the hot spot is a little more defined, a little smaller. The main spill is about the same, though there is a little more ringy dim spill outside the main spill. Overall, the beam is quite similar to a stock L1D Q5 Fenix.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the detailed update gunga, very useful.

I particularly like the detailed pics - makes it a lot easier to visualize the build changes (which make sense, and are a good upgrade).

Thanks for the update Gunga. I forgot I had mine. I think I will carry the Incendio with me tomorrow. It truely is a nice light. The things I like most about it is the very compact size and light weight for a clicky CR123 light, the simple modes, and the cool glow in the dark switch/oring. I also like that the switch does not have a gap around it to collect dirt.

I would still be interested in a natural HAIII version with slightly more knurling.
