Need help with visualizing the TN42vn beam. This would be the XHP35 version.

Please post your verbal comparison of the size of the hot spot vs any other high powered V54 lights you have.

In other words, if you point two lights at a line of trees, does light "Xvn" have 1-1/2 times bigger hot spot than the TN42vn?

The intensity will be different, but that doesn't matter. Just two powerful lights at the same target, same distance.

Size of hot spot of TN42vn XHP35 HI cw, compared to other Vinh54 lights in my signature:

Smaller diameter.

Narrower.

Tighter.

More sharply defined, very little spill.

The above, much more so than my other lights, except the K70vn XHP35 HI cw, just a little bit more so.

Please ask me if you would like me to more detailed verbal comparison with other lights in my signature.

K40l vn will beat them..
In size of hot spot?
The T21vn has 500K lux.
K40Lvn ha 371K lux.

But I'm only concerned about the size of the hot spot. I'll get the TN42vn if the hot spot is of usable size. I know it will be intense. My T21vn hot spot is just big enough to satisfy my needs. I'm hoping the TN42vn is that large.

Newlumen, you know my lights better than I do! You're right, I have the XPL PDT version of the K40Lvn.
I'll edit my post above. Thank you for keeping track for me! LOL

Thank you hahoo!
I just remembered my son has a TK61vn and I'll look at his beam again. I knew multi-emitters like TN40vn would have a giant hot spot.

You're "crude" beamshots are better than my best beamshots!

2150 lumens, 730K lux

I have found that XHP35 in Neutral has very good color rendition, even reds.

ive got the nw also
mine actually tests at or above, what vinh quotes for the cw version
mines at 2500 or so lumens, and test 775klux
i love nw over cw anyday
cant wait to get your impressions of this light when you fire it up:D
