My dream light...This Peak comes pretty darn close. A neutralish tint, simple twist operation, sub 50lumen brightness for extended runtimes, easily accessible AA cells, boost circuit that can run on one or two AA (including lith primaries) potted head, anti-roll ring, Differential surface for grip...Only things that would make it better would be a hot swappable system like Frazlabs, but in such a way that it could be potted somehow...I love the Frazlabs simplicity and ruggedness, but the lack of a boost circuit to run standard cells kind of hurts it, so I can't wait for them to release a 3C or 3D body tube. On the other hand, Peak seems to have a decent boost circuit and is potted well enough that it feels like it rivals the Fraz for shock resistance, but it doesn't have the hot swappability that the Fraz does...which is why I have both, lol. I'm looking forward to a multiple standard cell body for the Fraz...

@TheFraz @speckacuda I'm also looking at options to design a spacer cell or small puck that would have a boost circuit inside it. The primary candidate for that would be to fit it on top of the removable tail slug, since the Lumenite uses a 26650 *(or a 21700), which is roughly a C cell diameter and 15mm *(or 20mm) longer...15mm should be enough clearance for a potted puck boost circuit to run a single standard C cell maybe?

Haven't tried any NTG (Emisar / Noctigon) or FFL (FireFlies) LEDs yet, but that looks like an NTG35 to me - let me guess: Emisar D3AA and D2? :)
EDIT: IT WAS A FLUKE! A TRICK! A MCGUFFIN! A RED HERRING! A PROMISE OF CAKE! :O
Wait, I didn't know the D3AA came as a dual-channel as well? And what is the first one? Looks like a KR4 of some kind, so...KR1K?

For me, the 519A 1800K ties into the "Morning Sun"-nightstand light I wanted to get for the winter mornings. I may have gone a bit overboard, but very happy with the result!

The 519A 1800K is much more Yellow and sun-like compared to the more Orange LHP73B 1800K, and has an intensity the E21A 2000K can't match.

By the way, your beamshots would be excellent for the "Hint of Tint"-game!
I actually love the Nichia 219F, which replicates the old sodium lights.

I'm an old Millennial that grew up in Chicagoland, so the warm glow of sodium lights is nothing but distilled nostalgia for me. I have such great memories of driving home after visiting family, with the sodium streetlights on the highway zipping by, or walking around downtown during the snowy Christmas season, the city aglow in orange as bright as day.

I actually also really, really like that low CRI 1800K light in winter. Tired of the blinding 6500K LED cheapo headlights EVERY car seems to have, I bought some 3M glasses that are orange, and now all winter, I get to relive the glory days of sodium lights.

I really hate that the U.S. keeps creeping Daylight Saving Time to start earlier and end later, because I don't get as long of a window driving home to bask in my nostalgic glory (also, ~9PM summer sunsets are a bit silly).

The 219F is really a beautiful thing, and I'm very glad it exists, and that Convoy allowed me to put it in an AA host, haha.
