Received this Skilhunt H150 V4 with the new Buck Boost Driver that promises to be more efficient, with more constant output, cooler running, and with higher maximum output than the previous version.
The 5000K color temperature and neutral tint are excellent for a task light. The beam has nice even diffusion thanks to the Beaded Tir Optic, which I find very useful for close work. I really like how small and lightweight the H150 is.
I also like the User Interface and outputs, there are a total of 7 modes. Two useful moonlight modes, 3 well spaced Primary modes, and two turbo outputs. The light remembers the last used Moonlight, Primary output and Turbo.
It is easy to turn on and off with a single clic to reach the last used Primary output.
There are also easy and intuitive shortcuts to Moonlight and Turbo:
from off use Hold to go directly to the last used Moonlight,
use double clic both from off or from on, to reach the last used Turbo output.
There are some strobes available, which can only be reached by intentionally using Triple clic. They are not part of the normal constant outputs rotation, so there will never be any unintentional flashing.
The H150 has dual fuel capability and works on both 14500 LiIon and AA. It includes a tailmagnet, which I find very useful, especially on a right angle light like this The magnet can be removed if desired. There is also a nice headband for handsfree use. And it has built in charging for 14500, using a provided magnetic cable.
When using LiIon there is a battery level indicator light that comes on for 5 seconds when the light is first turned on. It indicates blue or blinking blue when full or half full. It changes to blinking red below half full and changes to solid red below 25% charge.
I like to keep a Skilhunt H150 in my car, year round, through snowy winters and hot summers. Loaded with Eneloop, as part of an emergency kit that would help me change a flat tire if necessary. It is also very handy when camping.
I received this light as a Review Sample thanks to Skilhunt. Here is an unaffiliated website link for more details. I will be happy to answer any questions..
